Sarah Fitzpatrick made these cookies for the 2006 CLAS cookie exchange.

In good size sauce pan, mix together:
2 c Sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 stick margarine
1/4 c Cocoa powder
Mix together and bring to a rolling boil over med-high heat. Let it 
boil
for 1 minute then take off heat.

Immediately add:
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 c Quaker (Quick - 1 min.) rolled oats
(can also add 1/2 c peanut butter and/or 1/2 c chopped pecans at this 
point)

Stir for 2 min and then drop with spoon onto wax paper. Leave there 
until cookies harden.

Makes approx. 28 cookies. Do not double recipe.
