When the thermostat flakes out, as it did after a neighborhood planned power outage on 20050427, pull the thermostat faceplate and let the capacitor discharge. When the screen is blank, set it back on te wall base and reset the time, date, etc., as necessary. After it is set, give it five minutes to do a time-out for running either service and then another minute to decide that it's too warm/cool.
It may also be necessary to flip the light switch which controls the blower to reset that system after plugging the thermostat back in. Flipping the breakers shouldn't be necessary, though we've done it due to impatience during the five minute time-out period.
